Logan Square is a well cared for and appealing neighborhood that boasts one of the grandest intersections in Chicago; called "The Square".  "The Square" is set around an enormous marble column, which celebrates the centennial of Illinois statehood.  In years past the roomy two- and three-flats housed such luminaries as Walt Disney and L. Frank Baum, author of "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz."  Logan Square remains largely a residential area and offers several fine restaurants, spots for salsa, and a few places to "rock and bowl".
